The review industry has a trust problem. Most sites are affiliate catalogues dressed up as journalism. TrulyVetted exists because the right answer to "is this worth buying?" should not require wading through ten articles that all say yes.
Our methodology
No gifted products
Every product on this site is purchased at full retail price — no PR samples, no brand relationships, no sponsored placements. If a brand reaches out asking for coverage, the answer is no.
Minimum two-week testing period
A first impression is not a review. Each product is used daily for at least two weeks before a word is written. For apparel and gear, that means multiple washes, multiple conditions, and actual wear.
Structured scoring, not gut feel
Ratings are broken down by category specific to each product type — value, quality, longevity, taste, support — and scored independently before an overall rating is calculated. No rounding up for products we like.
Community cross-check
After personal testing, findings are cross-referenced against Amazon verified reviews, Reddit discussions, and YouTube long-form reviews. Where the community contradicts the first-hand experience, that's noted — not buried.
